Director

My heart lies in the Early Childhood industry and over the years my role has grown from an enjoyable job to a passion. I started working in the child care industry in 1998, studying my Diploma part time. In 2002 I successfully completed my Diploma of Community Services (Children’s Services) and worked for the next few years as a Group Leader in a variety of age groups. In 2006 I eagerly accepted the Directors role at Sunkids Palmwoods 1 and I studied my Advanced Diploma in the evenings. I became officially qualified in August 2008. 

In July 2007 our centre moved across to the purpose built centre next door, growing from a 50 place to a 75 place service. We were validated by NCAC soon after and received very high ratings. Our professionalism and quality was also recognized by Sunkids, and in 2008 we were awarded “Centre Of Excellence”. 

I pride our centre on its friendly feel, dedicated staff and highly organized and functional work environment. I consider myself to be a true ambassador for children, recognizing the important role we play in shaping a peaceful and respectful world for future generations to come. 

When I am not at the centre you can find me walking for miles along the beach, cooking up a storm (Masterchef watch out) and spending time with my wonderful extended family.
